I love quotes from Abraham/Esther Hicks – they arrive in my inbox daily and they are what help me keep on track and lift me up when I need a positive boost.
Here are two of my favourites:

But in the moment you start complimenting yourself on the decision you’ve made, in that moment, you come back into vibrational alignment with who-you-really-are.”
Just do your best to keep yourself in balance. One of the first things that causes Energy misalignment, is asking or demanding too much of yourself in terms of time and effort. In other words, you just cannot burn the candle at both ends, so that you are physically tired, and then expect yourself to have a cheerful attitude. So, the rule of thumb has to be: “I’m going to be very, very, very happy, and then do everything I have time to do after that.”
What started me on this path?
When I was 11 years old, my grandmother died of breast cancer. This one event, while I didn’t know it at the time (I was 11), had a permanent impact on the way I feel about doctors and mainstream medicine. I couldn’t understand why the doctors weren’t able to help her despite using what’s now termed the “Gold” standard treatment of cutting, burning and poisoning (and nothing has changed in 30 years, the mainstream treatment is still the same)
Through my late teens and twenties I still sought out doctors for advice. In my teens when I was struggling, the doctor’s answer was a prescription for anti-depressants (which thankfully I never took). In my early twenties I got what the doctor thought was a serious throat infection with extreme lethargy which the doctor gave me a prescription for penicillin and said to take care in case I was allergic and then later realised it was actually glandular fever (that antibiotics are useless for). This continued, with various prescriptions for ailments which I now see were all connected, but that’s not how doctors view the body.
At 30 I had my first child, she stayed with us for only 13.5 short months. These 13.5 months and the 2 years that followed where we were dragged through an inquest, destroyed my trust in mainstream medicine completely. I spent years searching for answers to why everything happened the way it did and made the decision that everything would be different if I ever had a child again.
Thankfully, my son came along and everything is different. I stopped listening to the mainstream dogma of how pregnancies should happen (I had a midwife and a home birth), I didn’t vaccinate (my daughter developed seizures after she was vaccinated – I definitely wasn’t going to risk the same thing happening with my son), he slept in bed with us and never once slept on his own in a cot in another room. We’ve continued with our unconventional ideas and now we are unschooling – following his natural learning desires rather than having them crushed in mainstream schools that cater to creating obedient workers.
Now in my 40’s, I’m pulling together all that I’ve read over the past 20+ years on health and wellbeing, to join the dots and see how everything I’ve been through has been connected so I can finally get on the right path to improve my health.

I know that every person is different and what works for me, won’t necessarily be the right path for you.
I don’t have all the answers, I’m still reading and learning every day. So I want to share what I’m reading and how I see the dots joining together. Something I share might just be the missing piece for you that completes the picture and provides a new path forward to a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life.
